On help, or a relative lack thereof
A question, as I am new to this.
Is there a way to retrieve asks and messages that you have already answered privately? Mine do not appear to be in the least visible, but there are sections of a conversation that I would have the use of if only it were to be found.I have, as any seeker of truth might, consulted the help pages. They have failed to acknowledge that this confusion of mine might even exist, leaving me to fear that the removal of answered, nonpublic, conversations is deliberate and perhaps even a feature… or, worse yet, that I have missed some offensively obvious button that would reveal to me at a glance all words I thought lost.
If you would be so good as to suggest a means whereby I might retrieve my misplaced knowledge, I should be grateful.
On the off-chance that it’s our conversation regarding my prompt that you want, I’m preempting the necessity to ask for it, and pasting the relevant parts in below.
”Anyhow - use this if/when it is convenient to you, of course - could I ask for something playing the Medic and Engineer’s personalities off of each other? Genfic, shipping, smut, I’m not picky. I have an idea that since Medic is overtly a “Mad Scientist” type, and Engie presents as a good ol’ boy but has a darker (possibly megalomaniac) side, it would be fun to use them as foils for one another, you see.”
“Would you prefer to see them keeping each other in check through oppositional personalities powered by fiercely individual intelligences, or a classic Mad Science Super Team?
Debate and discussion regarding deep differences in personal standards, or all out experimentation on some poor sap they dragged in with most of his limbs still attached?
If you’re inclined toward smut, I’d lean toward academic rivals with a touch of more or less obvious mania. Might be a day or two before it’s written, but I’ll have it done this weekend whichever scenario you prefer.”
“Oh dear. That is entirely too much choice. Hmm, I do enjoy a good mad science super team, although the debate and discussion regarding personal standards could be very compelling, too… But unless you have any particular inclination towards something else, I really don’t think I can pass up the chance for that smut scenario you’re suggesting. Whatever you’re planning, the academic rivals with a touch of mania bit sounds awfully fun. ”
